Habitat Hideaway is a Mountain inspired home designed and built in 2008. The home is situated in peaceful and serene Whispering Pines Ranch of Summit Cove. 

 

As you pull into the home you will be greeted by the long flat drive (a rarity in the mountain area) that can park multiple vehicles if needed and the expansive covered front porch. The garage is heated for those cold winter months and offers great storage for all of you skiing/snowboarding needs. There is also space to store your bikes or summer lake gear for the summer season.

 

Entering through the oversized front door you walk into a large entry with a bench to get out of the weather quickly and have a space for all to unload their gear. Careful consideration was taken to take advantage of the fabulous views down the valley and maximizing space in the home. The main floor has windows in abundance to take advantage of the views of the ever changing seasons. There are 4 decks in the home to enjoy the outdoor space, 2 covered and 2 not depending on how you would like to spend your time.

 

Past the entrance you will see the living and dining areas separated by a gas see through fireplace that expands all the way to the vaulted ceiling. The living area is complete with a 65” TV and plenty of space for all to gather. There is an additional door that leads to the front porch.

 

The dining area has a long dining table that seats 8 comfortably and double doors that exit to an uncovered patio that houses a grill and fabulous views. There is a wine rack and wine fridge to store any wines of your choosing. 

The kitchen features high end appliances and built in coffee maker to enjoy fresh brewed coffee. There is a corner bench and seating at the island for all to gather around.

 

There are two doors that exit to the covered back deck. Just beyond is the backyard with a large patio to sit and soak in the sun or play rounds of cornhole, surrounded by trees and views. There is a gas firepit just to the side with sitting area separate from the patio. After all, Summit County is all about the outdoors. 

 

There are 3 bedrooms upstairs, in keeping with the mountain theme each of the rooms are named after a ski resort and have a sign above the room:

Breckenridge is the primary bedroom with a Cal King, electric fireplace, private outdoor balcony, 55 inch TV and beautifully updated 6 piece bathroom. 

Copper bedroom also has a Cal King , 55” TV with en-suite bathroom access. 

Keystone bedroom has a Queen bed with a Twin bunk horizontally above, giving flexibility to the sleeping space and is equipped with a TV

 

The basement houses the Loveland bedroom which is set up as a multiple sleeping option room. It has a King,1 Twin and 2 Full beds. This could easily be a room for a couple if using just the king or sleep a bunch of kids as a bunk room. The basement also is home to the second gathering area. It features a dry bar, high top table and large living area with 65” TV. There is also a large 5 piece bathroom. 

 

Recent renovations in 2023 include LVP flooring on the main level and primary bath, Quartz counters in the kitchen and primary bath, gas cooktop, vanity in powder bath, shower remodel in primary bath and freestanding tub. Gourmet kitchen with newer black SS appliances, convection oven and a Miele built-in coffee maker.

We have owned this home since 2017 and have enjoyed countless gatherings with friends and family. Some of our best memories are here, there is a magic to Summit County and spending the beginning and end of your day surround by those you love in a setting like this. We hope to have each of our guests have similar experiences and enjoyment from the home. This is one of our happiest places and we are excited to share it with you!
